Block Party 06:24
Let's have a block party. Let's totally neglect that all our lives are falling apart. You had a block party You made it so 10 years from then Your body would feel really sorry I'm sorry that I'm not sorry But that's what happens When you're old and act young and dumb And it's funny Because nobody's even having fun The closest people having fun Are the gangbangers in the desert Shooting off their guns But at least you beat them at one thing You accomplished less in a day Than they do in a week Because even gangbangers are human Even gangbangers have to sleep Why can't we just go to sleep? Why do we have to wait until the day after tomorrow to go to sleep? The clouds in the sky start to piss down rain. I'm pretty sure it's day number 28. I'm pretty sure it's the day after tomorrow. You had a block party and totally neglected that all our lives were falling apart.

Walking through my own backyard It might as well had been a plank That was the first time Others fucked up the way I think Nobody anywhere has anything important to say. Wash me Dry me Lie to me And criticize me When you're done criticizing Hang me up on the clothes lining Nobody anywhere has anything important to say. That's a cold hard fact because I'm waking up frustrated every day.

Stuck inside a dojo Thinking I should hop the fence I'd bow to my sensei If my sensei wasn't making zero sense The world is a hole in the wall dojo. Everybody thinks they're giving lessons. The only black belt necessary Is a black belt in passive aggression. The world is a hole in the wall. Intensity and pressure caving in Just like a medicine ball The world is a hole in the wall. The wall goes on forever And that's the scariest thing of all.

It's kind of hard to not be fake when my leg is getting smashed up by a tank.

I was just minding my own business Riding my skateboard When you called me a poser And you never were more right What if I told you That all of us are posers Just we haven't shaved our heads And gone to a friend's funeral yet Posing on big red Sucking on some yellow flowers Ignoring that we'll soon be dead Instead just basking in fake power Instead just masking ourselves With fake power Power is a nightmare. We all like this frightening nightmare It's just a righteous getaway From the thoughts and feelings that we have When we are conscious and awake We all like this frightening nightmare It's just an unforgettable getaway From the thoughts and feelings we have When we are feeling safe and sane I tried to run I tried to hide I got scared of that vibe inside I tried to escape I tried to flee But instead I just went back to sleep I kind of liked that frightening nightmare. I'm just as guilty.

Let's get in trouble today Because we put the 'P' in piss-ants And we put the 'L-A-Y' in play Let's get in trouble today What's the worst that can happen? The worst that happened was my life flashed before my eyes Choking during the explanation Throwing up nothing but white lies It was like when Randy Johnson hit that bird I'd be the bird one day That's what I always heard My life flashed before my eyes. On that day I learned that everyone lies all the god damn time.

Tying my shoes never came naturally to me. I guess that's why I constantly feel like I'm tied up in a constrictor's knot. Maybe they should rename this street Constrictor Avenue. At least for once they'd have a symbol to proud of. Then again, maybe they wouldn't. Rats need water Just like we need constant attention Swimming in mouse traps and craving social tension. The treehouse is on fire and there's nowhere left to play. Oddly totally fine. I'm the only one left that is unscathed. I guess I'll just walk away. Kaboom there went my hat. Kaboom there went my childhood. Kaboom there went my everything. Kaboom there went the neighborhood. And I'm oddly totally fine.
